This piece was actually a project in college. I forget exactly what the prompt was, but it had to do with space and color.

I remember going a bit overboard with it.

If you are a visual artist and you’re reading this, like me, you probably listen to the same song on repeat while painting. Your Spotify wrapped is like, “Holy shit dude, you listened to this song 300 times, that’s 18 hours of your life.” Well anyway, that is what happened when I found “I know you know” by the gorgeous singer and bass player, Esperanza Spalding.

That song inspired this whole painting, and each of the artistic decisions I made we’re based on her tune.

It’s still a good song and I would listen to it 300 times again.
