Aphrodite, Goddess of Love

"When I meet love, I'll tell her that I'm sorry for mistaking her for the ocean."

  • Medium : Acrylic

  • Date : 2019

  • Original Size: 16” x 20”

This painting part of my ongoing series to paint Greek and Roman Gods. Aphrodite is the personification of sexual love and beauty. Similar to my paintings “Plutus” and “Flora Goddess,” Aphrodite has painterly strokes, whiplash curves, and a circle framing the subject.

Her hair is painted like pink ocean waves, as a nod to the myth that Aphrodite was born from sea foam.

May she bless your home with enhanced attraction and love.
