In theme with painting a lot of different Goddesses and tarot card inspired work — a natural muse is the traditional deck of playing cards. I also have a lot of fondness for Alice in Wonderland, which is expressed in this painting and in a lot of my comic illustrations. Queen of Cards was created the same time as Theia, Goddess of Vision.
