Conscious presence staring back at you, as a mirror, and to remind you to be alert, loving, present, aware.

In terms of creation, this was a piece that I painted in only 4 hours. I was wrestling with a different painting late at night, and fell asleep at my easel. I had dreamt of a woman face emerging from the water, but the water looked as though it might have well been outer space. The dream was so quick, and the way she came out almost looked as if she was wearing the water itself. The moment I woke up, I couldn’t stop my hands from making the piece fast enough.
